For over 20 years I have taught academic English, research and study skills to international undergraduates and postgraduates from a range of subject disciplines at the University of Ferrara, Italy, Hertford College, Oxford, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, and the University of Reading.
My focus has been on developing students’ understanding of research and scholarship in relation to English-medium university studies and preparing students for a variety of formative and summative assessments with particular emphasis on the research and writing text practices and processes required at undergraduate and postgraduate level. As such, I am able to bring a wealth of experience and understanding to proof-reading and proof-editing dissertations and theses of international students and the academic documents of scholars.
