Is there a minimum fee?

Yes, even if the document is under 1000 words, I will charge the minimum rate of £13. I will also round up to every 1000 words; thus, if the text is 1800 words, I will charge you for 2000 words, that is £26 at the foundational rate.

 

What are your working hours?

I work Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.

 

How long does it take you to reply to an enquiry?

I will reply to you within 48 hours of receiving your enquiry.

 

How do you provide corrections?

I use ‘Track Changes’ on Microsoft Word or edits using Adobe Acrobat. If you prefer, I can work on paper and use the British Standards Institution's (BSI) proof-correction marks.

 

How long will it take you to correct the document?

It of course depends on the length of the document. However, I will always do my utmost to complete the edits within a short a timeframe as possible, based on your deadline. The timescale involved is something I will specify to you in my quote.

 

What does your service not include?

If the document, such as a dissertation, is to be submitted for assessment at university, I cannot rewrite or add content, change the argument, alter the structure, or translate any part of the document, as clients must, in this case, have authorial responsibly for their work.

 

Do you proof-read and proof-edit other documents apart from academic ones?

Yes, I am available to proof-read and proof-edit other documents. Please do contact me to see if I can help you.

 

How do I pay?

I accept payments via bank transfer/BACS.

 

When do I pay?

On completion of the project, I will send you the document with my corrections and suggestions for improvement and an invoice for my services, along with my bank details. Payment is to be made in GBP into a GBP bank account within 10 days of invoice. I will require your postal address in order to prepare the invoice.
